Overview - Executive Building Safety Leadership Programme

A comprehensive two-day programme designed for Dutyholders, Clients, Estates Directors, Appointed Persons, Principal Accountable Persons (PAPs), Accountable Persons (APs), and other senior leaders responsible for the governance, management and oversight of residential buildings and mixed-use developments.

 

This engaging and highly practical course focuses on strategic leadership, organisational governance, statutory accountability and risk ownership. It equips senior decision-makers with a clear understanding of not only what legal and regulatory requirements must be met, but why building safety failures occur, how they develop, and the leadership actions required to prevent them.

 

Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to discharge their duties effectively, establish proportionate governance arrangements, challenge organisational assumptions, and make informed decisions that support the safe occupation and operation of higher-risk residential buildings.

• Human Factors, Organisational Culture and Behavioural Risk Management

• Regulatory Compliance Systems, including Mandatory Occurrence Reporting, Change Control and Higher-Risk Building Procedures

• Management of Design and Construction Risks through the Gateway Process

• Fire Risk Governance and Assurance

• Structural Safety Governance and Assurance
